If you use a phone or tablet, you can double-tap a video to the left or right while it is playing to fast forward or rewind for 10 seconds. To quickly enter and exit full screen mode on a mobile device, swipe up to enter, or scroll down to exit.
3. Activate the dark theme
The dark theme returns the dark background. It was developed to reduce glare and provide you with the actual colors of your videos. It is available in versions for smartphones, tablets and computers.
You can activate it in the app settings by clicking or tapping the account icon, which can have your photo. Then, on the mobile, it’s Settings | General | Aspects | Dark theme. On the desktop, click your account icon followed by Appearance | Dark theme.
4. Search for related videos
On a mobile device, you can quickly view a row of suggested videos by tapping the screen while viewing the full screen. Some thumbnails will appear, each of which suggests YouTube based on your viewing history.
When you look at your computer, the suggested videos appear on the right side of the screen.
5. Go to “Incognito”
If you want to search for something weird, look at something randomly, or just browse YouTube without affecting your personalized recommendations, incognito mode behaves as if you don’t have your account signed in. This means that any of your activities, such as searches, subscriptions, or viewed videos, will not affect your YouTube experience or affect the recommendations you receive.
To activate incognito mode, tap your profile picture at the top right of the screen and select Activate incognito.
