“Ellipsis” () is an art exhibition that includes digital art, fine arts, and augmented reality art from twenty-six local and international artists. It will take place July 17-18, 2021 at the Armenian Cultural Foundation located at 211 W. Chestnut Street in Glendale, California.
The charity exhibition, organized by Anahit Co. and Artsakh Art, aims to showcase the talent of Armenian artists, shed light on technological advances created in Armenia, and raise funds for the Homeland Defender Rehabilitation Center in Armenia. ARLOOPA, an augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) application company has partnered with the organizers of “Ellipsis” to add an augmented reality experience to the exhibition. Audiences will be able to bring their smartphones / tablets and use them as 3D glasses to see static flat images come to life through sound, video or illustration, creating an unforgettable immersive experience.
“Ellipsis” has also created a virtual bridge between Armenia, Artsakh and the diaspora through location-based virtual reality showrooms in 10 cities around the world (Yerevan, Artsakh, Gyumri, Burastan in Armenia, St. Petersburg, Russia, Brussels and London in Europe, Los Angeles USA, Montreal Canada, Santiago Chile). These salons will present 20 selected works of art, a documentary video about the artists and information about the organizers.
“Ellipsis” also includes a collection of limited editions of merchandise and engravings with artwork featured in the “Ellipsis” art exhibition, available through the Anahit Co website and during the exhibition. Half of the proceeds from the sale of artwork / merchandise will benefit participating artists and the second half will go to the Homeland Defender Rehabilitation Center, which provides rehabilitation services to wounded soldiers from the 2020 Artsakh War. .
