Artists reimagine monuments through augmented reality

Jeffrey Brown:

Life at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles, but not like you’ve ever seen. It is a digital tribute to the workers who have walked the streets of this immigrant neighborhood for decades, an extraterrestrial portal between past, present and future worlds, which explores the continued presence of an Indigenous people originally from Los Angeles

In a new exhibition, Monumental Perspectives at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art or LACMA, five artists were commissioned to reinvent monuments through new technology, augmented reality, an interactive experience that covers digital information with the real physical world.
