Facebook leads the virtual reality headset market; the global market grows more than 52% in the first quarter of 2021

San Francisco, July 4: Led by Facebook, global virtual reality (VR) headset shipments grew 52.4% (year-over-year) in the first quarter of 2021, according to a new IDC report.

The long-term outlook remains fairly solid, as global shipments are expected to grow to 28.6 million in 2025 with a five-year compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 41.4%.
