Diners enjoy a virtual reality dining experience in the private room of The Spot 625 in Syracuse, New YorkPhoto provided
AUGMENTED REALITY FOOD EXPERIENCE IN SYRACUSE: A new immersive dining experience has opened up north of Syracuse, promising virtual dinners with augmented reality tales. Owners Brian Fitzgibbons and Gregory Nies gently opened The Spot 625 in the space formally known as Second North Deli. They are planning a grand opening for the fall, but first they are practicing their ambitious turn at dinner and a show for various groups this summer. The show offers diners plenty to talk about and react to, even if you’re sitting at the table of 10 people with strangers. Several overhead projectors create a view surrounded by the three walls and the long table in the room, like a planetarium. Learn more, see more photos. (Photo by Katrina Tulloch)
