Afinity created by a team of creative technologists aims to take advantage of virtual reality as a machine of empathy.
Afinity, a unique virtual reality application, has been created by a team of creative technologists with the aim of taking advantage of its use beyond the known parameters of creativity. The project aims to take virtual reality beyond the consumer market and broaden its horizons to use it as a machine of empathy.
“Virtual reality is an amazing technology with incredible potential, but it is used for marketing and sales purposes,” says a member of Afinity’s creative team. “We want to expand the VR application beyond its usual applications. Afinity makes use of virtual reality to raise awareness about the challenges of disability. “
Creative technologists Sukratti Jain, Paras Juneja and Justus Rosenkranz have put their brains together to come up with this project that aims to take virtual reality beyond the consumer market. They want to broaden their horizons in the B2B segment and take advantage of it as a machine of empathy.
The use of virtual reality as an empathy machine is a completely new area of experimentation. While this powerful and influential technology has proven to be very successful in marketing and in generating sales to consumers, Afinity wants to further expand the use of virtual reality. The Afinity creative team recommends its use as a sensitivity training tool for companies, schools, hospitals, warehouses and workplaces.
The Affinity team believes that by applying creative ideas and using an innovative approach, RV can be used to provide an immersive experience for employees and students. They will be able to see things from the point of view of a person with a disability and better understand their problems.
Afinity makes use of virtual reality technology to make students and others experience the challenges that people with disabilities face in their daily lives, and especially in the workplace. It can prove to be an effective way to understand and empathize with and help people with disabilities.
Key members of the Affinity team are creative technologists, Sukratti Jain, Paras Juneja and Justus Rosenkranz. Philip Wogart and Shannon Christie were the team’s mentors.
Afinity has won the following awards:
1. Payment – Muse Creative Awards
2. Gold – Vega Digital Award
3. Bronze – International Creativity Award
4. Winner – Interactive contest Communicative arts
5. Silver – Summit Creative Awards
6. Gold – Graphis New Talent Award
