The festival will kick off on August 6, which will take place every first Friday of the month through November on its official website. Its lineup has not yet been released, although Haneri, Intriguing and Inquisitive are confirmed for its first edition.
Take Back The Nights, originally formed in 2020 as an online event that supported the local music industry, will use 3D graphics and motion capture technology for the event, inspired by the Somerset Belt, a district focused on Singapore’s youth.
Today, Linying will release his new single “Daylight Blows Into One Door,” his first release for Sony. The indie folk-pop artist was co-writer and singer of the 2021 National Day Singapore song, ‘The Road Ahead’, which was released last week.
Punk rock band Plainsunset originally left it in 2016 with a farewell concert The Straits Times that their rupture was “permanent.” However, they came together to play a concert at the Esplanade Annexe in Singapore in January 2020, with the support of the bands Caracal and Sun Eater.
The band formed in 1996 and released five studio albums: 2000’s “Runaway”, 2001’s “Lovesongsfortheemotionallywounded”, 2004’s “The Gift”, 2008’s “Plainsunset” and 2016’s “Baby Boxer & Benjamin”.
