Nominations are open for the VRFocus 2021: VRFocus Awards

In 2020 VRFocus launched its first awards event to celebrate all that the XR industry had to offer. A big part of that was the inclusion of the public vote instead of judging the industry, with this vision expanding for this year. The best reality Awards also opening nominations to the public.

From today until September 10, 2021 (at 23:59 BST) VRFocus encourages all our readers to designate their favorite virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (RA) video games from the last twelve months, in various categories, some new, while others return from last year. There are 14 categories to apply for, which is completely free.

VRFocus’ The categories of the Better-Than-Reality 2021 awards:

  • VR Game of the Year
  • Best multiplayer game
  • Best cooperative game
  • Best puzzle game
  • Best action / adventure game
  • Best narrative
  • More immersive
  • Best family game
  • Indie Gem
  • The most educational
  • Best XR Movie
  • Best RA application
  • XR top influencer
  • More planned for 2022

After the closing date for nominations, the top five in each category will advance to the final voting round (public once again) from 1c From October to 14th November 2021. The winners will be announced before the end of November.

It’s been a fantastic 12 months for the XR industry with exciting innovations for both the short and long term future, as well as new video games and apps that show the depth and breadth of what’s possible. With The best reality Awards, you can say yours, congratulating those who work so hard to make this industry what it is.
