If you’re thinking about buying an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset this month, it’s worth staying until August 24th because Facebook decided to double the internal storage.
Quest 2’s existing base model includes 64GB of storage, which cannot be expanded. The updated model will ship with 128GB of internal storage, but the price remains the same at $ 299. It will be frustrating to know for anyone who has recently purchased a 64GB model.
Facebook has not been selling virtual reality headsets since last month because some owners experience skin irritation in the form of rashes, swelling, burning, itching, hives and bumps. It seems to be the cause of the removable foam that touches your face when wearing headphones, and no doubt the 128GB models will include the new silicone case to fix the problem.

Oculus Quest 2 is an impressive headset that needs no cables, a sharp screen, a powerful processor and accurate motion tracking. Its low is a short battery life, offering no more than three hours before a recharge is required. It’s very nice to double the storage without raising prices, but I think many users would also like to see improved battery life.
