SIGGRAPH 2021 reveals the next frontier of immersive experiences

Virtual, mixed and augmented reality content to include projects from Baobab Studios, ILMxLAB and Wayfair, among others

CHICAGO, July 2, 2021 / PRNewswire / – SIGGRAPH 2021 announces its immersive programming, which includes a world premiere experience, and the winners of the awards selected by the jury for both the Immersive Pavilion and the VR Theater. Virtual conference live events will run from August 9-13, with content available online and on-demand from August 2 to October 29.

Similar to 2020, this year’s conference participants can expect to learn about conducting experiential projects through on-demand videos and live question and answer sessions or in panel format, with many projects offering a way to participate in the experience for those who have access to the right information. hardware. The VR 2021 theater has selected 15 projects that complement the 23 in the Immersive Pavilion, which were chosen by juries and expert reviewers.
