Harry Potter New York, Harry Potter’s new worldwide retail store, gets two virtual reality (VR) experiences at its flagship store. Both take people through adventures while wearing virtual reality headsets and devices, including manual and food trackers, similar to other virtual reality experiences, including Dreamscape Los Angeles.
The first thing on offer at the Harry Potter store in New York is “Chaos at Hogwarts,” it sends people to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Magic, where you have to cast spells with your wand to stop Pixies in ‘interior. The second, “Harry Potter Wizards Take Flight,” puts you on a broom and you go to Knockturn Alley, while you fly over London and avoid the Death Eaters.
New York’s own Harry Potter store opened on June 3, 2021, just as New York began opening after last year. Located near the Flatiron Building on 22nd Street between 5th Avenue and Broadway, the store uses a virtual line, even in person, to manage capacity.
In the store, visitors have to scan a QR code and then fill in details about their group. A notification is sent to their smartphone to let them know when they can return (they have one hour to return) and six people per group are allowed to return. The QR code is set to 7 a.m. every morning, and when the virtual line is full, they turn off the queue for the day. Visitors cannot register in advance or online and cannot enter either.
Those receiving the notification head to the pre-entry line on 5th Avenue and continue waiting there. RV experiences require a separate booking as well as paid tickets. (Entering the store is really free.) But these people can only walk to the front of the line and are allowed to enter the store (and for their experience) that way.
Tickets, which cost $ 34 each, are currently available between July 15 and August 15, and even to buy tickets, the website puts people on a virtual line before they can even enter. on the page to buy tickets.
Players must be 10 years of age or older and have a minimum height of 48 inches and schedules are open every 30 minutes.
