The Tampa businessman creates immersive real estate tours

TAMPA – Virtual real estate tours are not uncommon today, but a Tampa pilot has decided to take this concept to new heights.

Christopher Vasilakis holds a patent for header software that will allow potential buyers to remotely browse properties.

“I saw an opportunity,” the CEO of Guided Virtual Tours said. “Find out what the technology is used for and what’s best for transporting a person from one place to another, and we’ve finally gotten into real estate.”

Guided Virtual Tours holds a patent for gaming software that will allow potential buyers to browse properties remotely.

In the midst of the pandemic, Vasilakis found this to be the best way to help the real estate market stay afloat.

“Because it’s submerged, I can feel like I’m already there,” he says with the help of viewers that a prospect might be in Tampa and practically walking around an Arizona house or anywhere else in the world.

The Vasilakis company performs a 360-degree scan of the property that potential users can see in the viewfinder, mobile phone, iPad or desktop.

There is also a tour guide who will talk to you as you view the property.

“He’s not a doctorate,” he adds. “It’s a raw capture of the property that gives you a great sense of space.”

GAME CHANGE FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS

Vasilakis says it’s a game changer for both buyers and sellers. Some properties may still be under construction.

“It allows our prospects to tour early and visualize where their home would be,” Vasilakis said. “It saves a lot of money for developers by being able to sell in advance.”

Vasilakis says virtual reality coupling and real estate provided a safer option during the pandemic. As it slows down, he says it is becoming one more tool for convenience.

“If I could order food on my phone, order car service on my phone, I can do whatever I want from my phone,” he explains. “Why can’t I browse properties from my phone?”

Today more than 40 customers across the country have logged in with virtual guided tours and the list continues to grow.
