The slide is at the Kalahari Resort in Pocono Manor. Riders will be able to choose between different experiences, including a trip into outer space and another involving a chase of dragons.
In a press release obtained by FOX Business, Kalahari described the trip.
“VRSlide technology allows riders to experience virtual reality worlds as they descend our exciting Anaconda water slide. As they traverse the unique drops and curves of Anaconda wearing VR headsets, the feeling completely immerses riders in one of three experiences: venturing into an action-packed African Safari environment, chasing aliens through outer space or flying through castles surrounded by fire-breathing dragons. “
According to the complex, this is the first virtual reality water slide in America. The technology has been combined with one of the complex’s existing slides, the Anaconda. Users who choose an RV experience will use headphones that showcase one of the various experiences.
Ballast VR describes its VRSlide system as the fusion of “visuals out of this world” with “amazing physical sensations”.
