USJ will present the roller coaster VR Demon Slayer in September

OSAKA – Universal Studios Japan (USJ) announced on July 12 the opening of a new roller coaster of virtual reality (VR) with themes in the hit animated film “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,” which set a box office record in Japan last year.

The attraction a USJ will do it in Osaka create a 360-degree virtual reality world where fans will feel like they’re driving the Mugen train seen in the animation. During the trip, they will meet characters from the film and will be caught in fights with “oni” (demons) on the train.

During the journey, visitors will not only see the sword skills of the anime characters and the assassination techniques of the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, but they will also be able to feel their movements, breathe and also experience as if they were surrounded by fire. .

The RV roller coaster will run for a limited period between September 17, 2021 and February 13, 2022.

During this period, another roller coaster “Hollywood Dream: The Ride” will also be released that will allow visitors to hear audio of the dialogue of the anime characters from “Demon Slayer” during the trip.

USJ will also maintain a “Demon Slayer” rally stamp and offer original food and sell original anime related items.

The theme park announced in June that it would introduce a theme attraction on “Demon Slayer,” but at the time did not reveal details of what that would entail.
