Venice presents the virtual reality program
The Venice Film Festival has completed its virtual reality selection with the expanded VR VR titles announced today. The section will be available for viewing on the Lido from 1 to 11 September and online from 1 to 19 September, as well as on satellite sites in 10 countries. Online partners are HTC Viveport and Facebook Oculus, which use PCVR and Oculus Quest headphones. There are 37 projects from 21 countries, including 23 competition titles and 12 out-of-competition works (scroll below for the full list). Venice first adopted virtual reality, as it developed a virtual reality theater in 2016. Starting in 2017, the festival launched the first virtual reality contest.
